Epic isn't as good as Steam, simple as. Trying to buy my patronage with free games doesn't change that.

I laugh at all the anti epic dolts. I have bought 2 games there in the 3 or so years they been around, and i have received 393 free games. And China still doesnt know anything about me. LOL!!!

Nice epic backlog. Mine is about ~200 games. The only games I've bought from Steam in 2 years is the Alan Wake bundle, to get background references before I buy the sequel on Epic. Great game so far. I got Control free from Epic 2 years ago too.

I also have Humble Bundle which gives steam keys 99% of the time. So i have stopped rushing to buy games on Steam. Payday 3 was officially the last straw as well. I cant tell you how many times i was tempted to buy something that was in the bundles a couple months later.

Im glad, I got the game for free. but the bossfights are unlogical and Im therefore also glad I didnt spent a copper on the game, because when a bossfight is not self-explaining and you have to youtube it, its simply not good. its basically like a joke: if you have to explain it afterwards, its simply spoken not funny. I wont tell, which bossfight, so I dont want to spoiler anything.

i mean, the npc´s literarly explaining to you what you need to do. if you dont get it after the npc´s screaming into your ear how it works ... are you a lost cause.

but overall agree i tho. the game is on the narrative side really good and it makes even fun listening to the banter of the npc´s etc. but it often feels just like mob arena, again talking and banter around, mob arena, same bantering around ... MOB ARENA!!!! then back to the talking aaaand then boss fight.

and the game continues this the ENTIRE LENGTH OF THE GAME!!! atleast the combat is somewhat fun. but like i said already, the narrative is awesome and the award which it got for it is well deserved. i dont want to know how much they paid for all those voice texts xD.

they also have free access to user machine and information. They mine whatever they want on the machine, snoop around for everything and send it to their motherland: CCP. Epic belongs and follows Tencent.

10 bucks for me is RM40. So yes I rather take the free. RM40 can feed an entire family of 3 people with a nice meal.

I use both Steam and Epic. I buy whichever is cheaper for me.

i use both too! love them both.
i use epic as demo tester, and steam to buy games and collect and build a library, for easy access between PC and steam deck.

I buy from Steam and get free games from Epic, I really don't care about the forums, I just want my free games.
