Always online only?

Does this game require constant connection to the internet? Or it will be fine even if there no internet (Steam Offline Mode)?

there are two types of "offline" mate
you think you are OFFLINE when you click go offline?
no you arent
open up your task mgr
look at steam web helpers and strappers
about 18 run per 3 exes
most are for
the store
the main entry menu and gameshowcases
PM's
the games info itself
another if it supports cloud saves

so in order to truly go offline
either unplug the wifi/cord
or
you can like I do , disable all steams bs
only loading what I want to see, vs 500-900mb in garbage

decent amount of games you cant play offline on steam deck like Hogwarts legacy and control ultimate edition.
i dont know wtf it is but you need to load your save files online and then you can go offline just fine.
i think its a way to stop people from family sharing and playing at the same time

1. a boot stapper each exe has 2
2. webhelper just open steam with no games then open task mgr and look
5-6 webhelpers are open just for steam

3. then open a simple game idle something
watch the steam webhelpers go up x 2

no matter what people say
offline in steam isnt offline TO STEAM
still needs auth and.. webhelpers

only one real way to go offline.. is either to unplug the modem wifi
or bypass the steam helpers and bootstraps

which removes steam totally or else you couldnt play
steam would see the files as not valid and remove them if you verify
