Discussion: What could be Rocket's & Groot's "Promise" ?

First of all, I'll start with the fact that this was an awesome experience for me and I thoroughly enjoyed the game (despite a few crashes).

Now coming back to the topic, we all saw what Quill saw in his Promise, also went inside Drax's mind to saw his Promise while had a conversation about Gamora's Promise too.

The only one (among the team) which were left were Rocket's & Groot's or Did I misss this part of conversation somehow ?

Maybe for Rocket, his promise would be to escape HalfWorld not alone but with Lyalla but I still feel it can be something else too. It's such a shame that we could have got another story chapter just revolving around Rocket's Promise and after the spectacular GOTG 3, I feel this as a missed opportunity.


I wonder what could be "Groot's Promise" though ? Something about not the only Flora-colossi in the galaxy but I don't think that can be the case since he is content with spending life with Rocket and doesn't look like he feels loneliness.

So anyone with any wild theories ?

Rocket - Undo whatever the high evolutionary did to him and revive Lylla, Teefs and Floor and just be normal animals

Groot - Find more of his kind or Speak other languages than groot idk
