Is there a way to block the data collection?

Any time you buy a game from this company you essentially have to agree to let them collect data on every aspect they can possible grab hold of - from your name and address to your *bank account information*.

Has anyone figured out a way to block this from happening and still have the game be playable? I didn't just pay money for Square Enix to collect everything possible from me in order to sell my personal information to third parties. Companies that do this are absolute trash.

Are you sure you aren't confusing credit card information with bank account information though? With subscription services like the Final Fantasy MMO, they would need the customer's credit card information which is normal with any subscription service which you pay with your card.

I'm going off of the privacy agreement the game forces you to sign prior to playing (they don't even have a 'do not agree' option, you literally have to alt+F4 the game) stating that all of this information is being collected on you, more than likely through Steam services.
