That is a temporary fix- Nvidia needs to make a permanent fix regardless.
Explain then how they could optimize the latest Nvidia drivers? The game works as intended on the GTX 900 series with the older drivers, so the issue is with the latest Nvidia drivers.
Seems to me that you're the Nvidia shill who can't accept that Nvidia drivers could possibly ever have a bad release version. Nvidia has many bad driver releases, they are not infallible.
Beyond that, they have proven time and time again that they will do shady stuff to... encourage... customers to upgrade, such as releasing intentionally borked drivers and not fixing them. Not saying this is the actual reason it runs like butt on a 9 series, but I wouldn't put it out of the realm of possibilities, not by a longshot.
"I own Nvidia, therefore it will always work and any problems are on the dev side in any scenario."
Keep drinking that kool-aid!
Thats not even remotely true, Maxwell chips are still produced and sold as new to this day. Maybe you should leave the technical information to people that know what they are talking about.
2 drivers since launch, find it any better?
Also remind me what maxwell GPUs are still made and sold today??
You can buy them in their Shield devices running on a 64 bit bus. In fact they recently updated the architecture giving it a 25% bump in performance. Do you have anything else, or are you done since you haven't added a single thing of importance to the discussion.
You act like this has never happened before? It happened with Kepler and now it seems like maxwells time is coming. 780 ti started to fall behind 290x and 980 and had driver issues.
Even shredder upgraded his monster 970.
Agree but in this special case it's up to NVIDIA cause the older driver works fine.
