Black screen on main menu after todays patch

Now I cant play the game. Can you revert the patch? I even tried reinstalling and trying different launch and game options and nothing helps...

Same problems, i go after the logo screen but i have a menu with no Star Lord-Groot or Rocket and if i click on continue the game crash

1. Go to path: Steam\userdata\your_id_folder\1088850\remote
2. Make backup 2 files in folder.
3. Delete 1 file: game_profile.bin.
(Your saves in file gotgsavegame0000.dat)
4. Lauch the game. You will need set up in game settings again, but saves is work.

P S. After next launch again black screen.
Again deleted game_profile.bin and game start up without black screen.

Remove these files worked for me. Game generate these files on launch.
"Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy\bin"
pipelineLibrary.cache
rawpso.store
rawshader.store

So ! I managed to fix it but I really REALLY can't tell what did it. So, I reinstalled the game, did not work, then I followed LorKhan's instructions, did not work, I verified the game's files in properties,then I launched it windowed with default grafics, and it worked ! (no DLSS or RTX, I'm running on a 1660 SUPER). I truly hope that it will help you (just take a living goat, a knife and your firstborn close to you to be sure)

Okay guyz, I've been able to pass the black screen and play.I just pressed enter and my save just launched as usual ... Hope it will help.

I had the same issue where I was just getting a black screen. Under task manager it would list GOTG GPU engine: GPU 0 - Copy and just sit there. After a few minutes it finally started to play the intro videos and switched to GPU 0 - 3D. Might be some shader compilation or something going on? Not sure. But just waiting fixed it for me. This is on a 6900XT with current drivers 21.11.1

This is not the issue everyone's having. People have main menu in form of a black screen. Can hear sound and pointer color change when they mouse-over an option, but that's that. Please don't add confusion to this pathetic situation.
