Intro Sequence

Does anyone know a way to skip the Intro that pops up when you start the Game? I mean the "Square Enix" "Eidos Montreal" "Marvel" Intro, i dont know how to call it. :D The company intro. In some Games you could modify the Video files, in other Games there is a command you can use to skip it, i couldnt find anything like this and its annoying to always wait one Minute when you play it more than one time a day.

The way the game has its file structure set up makes it non-trivial to get rid of these startup videos. Everything is packed into archives of unknown format with seemingly random file names.

So there are only two possible ways to ever make these skipable: Finding out which archive contains the movie files, develop a tool that can edit these archives and erase or replace them with blanks. Or to find a startup command. Maybe if one exists the developer feels kind enough to share, but don't count on it. Advertising the companies who made the game possible is part of the deal.

That said: Yeah, I would really like that, too. ^^

Skip intro videos

Remove and swap video files

1. Go to <path-to-game>\runtime\
2. Move or delete 3C5412CE8B28C5D133F4024887AA8579.pc_binkvid.
3. Make a copy of 0E3B3BA8C5C9E2E58AF1AFF20B899860.pc_binkvid and rename it to 3C5412CE8B28C5D133F4024887AA8579.pc_binkvid

> This will replace the startup logos with the loading screen indicator, reducing the load time.

First it seems to work, instantly showing me the loading Screen. But then it just crashes. Did you try it for yourself?

I probably searched with the wrong keywords. "Guardians of the Galaxy no intro" via google does not lead to that find. So thank you very much. Maybe make a game guide out of it, quote PCGW of course. :)

PS: I did try it, worked for me. No crash.

Yeah i did something wrong, i thought it meant make a copy as a backup and so i copied it on a different location. :D But it meant to really make a copy of 0E3B3BA8C5C9E2E58AF1AFF20B899860.pc_binkvid in the same folder and den rename the copy to 3C5412CE8B28C5D133F4024887AA8579.pc_binkvid. My mistake, should have followed exactly what was written.

Hi, the fix did not work for me? Game won´t start, crash to desktop with this solution.... Any ideas? Thx in advance...

You need a copy of the second file ( on the desktop is ok) then rename said copy like the first one, after that copy it to the runtimefolder. Make a backup of the first one, just because always make backups.
