Is it this game our my PC?
Guardians of the galaxy seems to have serious FPS drop and stutter during cut scenes. Is this my machine or this game? Spoiler:

When flying out of the Nova Corp shield as the war wreckage explodes. the frames drop and I get serious stutters, making it unplayable.

Spoiler over.

Is this my game or a known problem or is this something only happening to me? Thanks for any info

Issue is likely to be video ram usage, you can drop resolution or texture quality to improve matters, and support for ray tracing also takes a significant amount of memory, there will be reduced vram usage in future patches

Computer specs between low and medium RTX requierement (i7 7700k, RTX 2070 SUPER, 2K) and i've fps drop too (sometimes from 60 to 10/13).
There are many graphic bugs too (like scene shaking like crazy).

Issue I have is not due to video settings but the fact that when ever the game saves I instantly have frames drop to 3-5 FPS when I normally run at 144FPS (with v-sync enabled and disabled) (Also side note I have lowered and maxed out graphics with no change) I have narrowed it down to specifically only when the game auto saves. Easy to tell because when I pause as soon as I see the drop I check the bottom corner it'll show the time last saved and be seconds since last save.

Same issue here. Drops to single digits frequently. Alt-tabbing seems to bring it back up, but then it just happens again a few minutes later. At first it was just happening in cutscenes but since I arrived on Knowhere, it's constantly happening in-game too.

It's most likely the games fault. It needs some patches to get more stable.

This is why I don't like movie games, and games with established media IPs. Everybody was critical about, Biomutant, the Ascent, Deathloop, when it came to poor PC performance. But when it comes to this game nobody said a word.
I enjoy the game but it really unplayable. Without a patch.

= decrease parameters or resolution have not effect on the FPS but i have random fps drop to 30/25/20 fps.

Config :
RTX 3080 Gygabyte
i7 9700k
32 gb ram

It's not the VRAM. I'm playing on 4GB and the usage is around 3- 3.5 GB. Settings didn't effect that cause it has, in my opinion, nothing to do with that. Older models like 2xxx and 1xxx series running not well here compared to the 3xxx. Well done NVIDIA...

I stoped having issues launching the game from the folder exe and disabling the steam overlay, maybe it can work for someone else

Stop lying . I have an RTX 3070 with 8 GB and play at 1440p . I still have drops there. 8 GB of VRAM is not enough at 1440p with RT ON ?! Is an RTX 3070 underpowered for this game lol
