Chapter 3 Sinking Jelly (AND RANT!!!)

A whole cutscene of Peter and co stuck in jelly and a stupid puzzle that if you fail will retrigger the ENTIRE UNSIKIPPABLE Cutscene over and over again!!
First off - how the heck do you solve this puzzle?
- There's a circle that shows up but Rocket drowns before I can do anything - what do i do?
- and WHY cant we skip this idiot 2 minute cutscene that gets triggered just before this unexplained mechanic???

Now you're just being silly and paranoid. I've literally replied to you in two threads, one where you first replied to me and one where you were referencing the other thread. I'm going to stop replying here because this is just littering up this thread. But assuming your replies here are genuine and not just trolling. you are far too emotionally invested in online discussions, you need to learn to simply acknowledge when you've got things wrong. If you wanted to give advice in this thread, it would gave been normal to simply give the advice as I did, not complain about another thread.

I took me a couple of attempts. I could have done with a better on-screen instruction IMO that also paused the the cutscene.

Thats right this QTE is very bad designed . I thought i had to move the prompts to each character and save then , and not away from them . Usually you dont move AWAY from people drowning ffs

I wouldn't have minded the QTE so much if it wasn't for the fact that failing has you suffer through an unskippable cutscene. Though, once you figure it out, the following (there are 4 total, one per elemental gun) are pretty easy. I also found them easier with a gamepad rather than k&m.

Thankfully, the rest of the game more than makes up to this one dumb QTE.

in the game settings you can turn on skipping of action buttons, if you keep dying from things like that

QTE/PUZZLE (English not my native) whatever - its the unskippable cutscene before this thing that is annoying...took me 10 minutes (5 attempts) on PC to figure out they want to move the mouse and WASD -> It would be not an issue if there was no 2 minute cutscene JUST BEFORE IT.... the 10 minutes would be 30 seconds but for this design..it looks like from the comments the same ♥♥♥♥♥ happens further down the road

So shouldnt take you 5 attempts but 2 at most.

I can't even comprehend being stumped by the easiest, and possibly most obvious version of a QTE imaginable.

The kids aren't alright.

Just turn off QTEs in options. They're honestly not worth the reload time and unskippable cutscenes and just ruin the flow of the story and actual gameplay.

I could not get the circle to turn green even after driving the lines to centre. Any help?

Move the two joystick icons into the circle, you know you've got it right when they turn into a different button icon, then just press that button.

Timing or something was just a little bit weird with this one for me.

Missed it the first time what I was supposed to press, as I was paying attention to what was happening on screen around the prompts and missed it.

2nd time I saw the icon, and I couldn't tell what I was supposed to hit..

3rd time, I saw the teeny tiny sliver of a middle mouse button I was supposed to hit, but the timer ran out..

(pretty annoyed by this time, since that cutscene is so slow paced and long..)

4th time, I hit all the right buttons as I'm supposed to, but it doesn't register..

(what fun!!)

5th time, hit all the right buttons and it ... doesn't register...

(W-T-F???)

Thinking about turning on Win all QTE's, but the cutscene has played out again...

and 6th time, press all the same buttons, and I get past it.

Just not well designed, not for me.

Not well designed indeed, but not unbeatable either.
