Unfortunately Telltale committed seppuku after years of mismanaging funds. the gotg adventure game was quite an amusing story and the real loss is fable though.

I dont quite understand what you mean.

I used to work at Telltale, its downfall had nothing to do with money management.
It was when Dan left, starting his other company (which is now the neo-TTG) and still actively working on "A wolf among us 2"

Telltales downfall is just the same as Sierra's was
To many games to fast to soon, pushing the HEART out of the games and making them shells

this is the downfall, they got TO big. same happened to sierra, when the owners ken and roberta let a larger company run the distro, hence vivendi, and the downfall of sierra

fable?
as in the series? lionshead?
you do know they died due to MS as everything is doing. want new alan awake remaster? its not on steam! rockstars new trilogy? not on steam!
all are owned or ran by microsoft including new borderlands, red dead anything, all ubisoft games, all origin games all going to xcloud game pass for win 11, post hardware era

"Lionhead was acquired by Microsoft Studios in 2006 -- and after 10 years, Microsoft announced it would be canceling Lionhead's Fable Legends"

lemme know what you mean.

again the game is out there digitally, and im holding my physical copy that runs fine on win7 but wont install on 10 or 11

Telltale's assets were purchased by LCG Entertainment and the studio has been reformed and, so far, they have confirmed that Wolf Among Us Season 2 is coming and there's a lot of chatter about Tales from the Borderlands Season 2.

It's not totally off the cards that they might do another GotG as long as they can secure the license from Disney.

gotg is not on their plate anymore, and the new and old team said they dont want any "movie" game pressure.. no more !
this was what got the OG ttg's to defunct

I was happy to have worked for the original team, it had heart.. then got bigger and bigger and people starting hitting heads on desks

literally

yes, I guess I used the comic book that " wolf among us" was adapted on, which is named Fables.

Good, now find a proper forum to discuss TT Guardians of the Galaxy game. Their game has exactly zero to do with this game except it's the same license. Comparisons here make no sense. Both can exit, so go hammer on the correct door about re-publishing the TT game, Steam forums isn't it though.
The Nothing Man Oct 26, 2021 @ 3:56pm
debt not in money but in game production
they went from 2-3 games at at time to 5-9 games..
money was never an issue at telltale esp with dan around.
just to many games to push out and nope they just couldnt but had already signed to do so.

so yes money but not in the terms of cash as such
investments didnt come through as the games couldnt get pushed fast enough so investors pulled out

this lead to what they called just SO MANY THINGS
or 10,000 things (myriad)

again just like Sierra online

steam forums is the place for all, that are kind and not a troll

telling me to sod off and find somewhere else to go is, not a very adult response.
I am pointing out there is a really kick arse GOTG game already.. yet we get this disney fake junk.

sigh. "correct door" explain?
I know many of the old TTG's crew and the new revamped crew
most are boycotting the new crew.
Hugs and yea maybe you should be the one not in forums matey huugss

Not Game specific forums, no they aren't. Go to general Steam forums (if they still exist) and discuss it there. You should not discuss Quake under, I don't know, Final Fantasy, likewise you should not discuss Telltale Guardians game under this forum here, there is nothing these two games have in common except the license - the discussion is pointless, more so are the "Boo bring back TT Guardians game" topics, this is rude towards the developers and doesn't help with the discussion about this new game at all.
The Nothing Man Oct 26, 2021 @ 4:11pm
wow nice contrast.
void of anything

This is gotg talk. not some random IP

If you arent a mod unsub if you dont like the topic, its perfectly legit here on steam.
Please stop trolling the thread ty.

Try to ask from GOG because there is better change to get it release again
The Nothing Man Oct 26, 2021 @ 4:20pm
