You know this was a comic? The game did their own spin, but the source is the comic, not the movies.
Due to that, this game is free to basically make them look however, as long as it falls into what they generally look like. And this does.
chars are not even close to the comics nor movies
this is imo due to copyright issues more than anything. you cant have game chars look like the actors or they get royalties % higher

again I say where is the original TTG advent .. that was awesome.

again though the reason they dont look like anything is due to cash payouts.
this slims em down and makes me wonder WHY they would even make this game

Chris Pratt and Dave Batista were too expensive to hire so they hired their non union Mexican equivalents.
Technically it is a comic tie in rather than a MCU movie tie in so they can get away with hiring different actors.
