How Does Region Security Work
It seems that if region security/10>insurgent strength then they leave the region, but I don't know for sure. Does anyone know exactly how it works?

Zone security % is zone health, once it gets to 0 it turns red. 10% base value, 5-10% for low difficulty, few % from fort/HQ, 40/90/200% from security initiatives and some time ago I think supporters in zone also started to boost it, then there is map feature increasing it.

Security checkpoints slow down security decay in HQ/fort zones, insurgents die directly only if they destroy police/militia which revenge kills one of fighters.

So far as I know, Region Security adds a constant level of "Military Strength" to the region, which can destroy insurgent pockets or slow down their rate of taking over an area till you can get full-blown soldiers in there.

Security intitiatives slow down insurgents capturing a sector, and they need to destroy them to fully take over the sector, but they cannot push out insurgents by themselves. However, whenever a security initiative is destroyed by the insurgents, it will kill one insurgent as it goes down.
