Day of Dragons

Day of Dragons

Game worth it?
I wisely refunded the game 2-3 years ago on it's very early stages and now I see the big changes I thought once I should try it again and then told myself "clans" which is not the cup of tea because it just reminds me of ARK alpha tribes and things could get toxic, or should I just stay with Draconia if it's the only way to survive is to clan with people that I know or do not know at all.

DoD is very much more of a social game, so it encourages social play like clans and groups to get certain things done. However, you CAN get around solo, but it would be very difficult unless you pick the fastest dragon in the game or endure being nested once as a good dragon and then be on your way. It might be a neat challenge to try and survive 'solo', since unless you really wanna be self-sufficient with stats (which aren't make or break, and even then a quick nest by a clan that already did it can work too if you can convince them), all the tools ot 'survive' like food and water are plentiful and easy to find once you learn the game.

However, coming from me personally, the most fun I've had with this game is with my clanmates. Just being dragons together, nesting for better stats, and just having fun with being a dragon is why I keep playing this. But I also play on PVe servers, where clans do not really make or break anything. And there ARE unofficial servers that will for sure disable clans (devs will be adding that). I don't think that's in yet though, so if you want to, wait till then and then you might find a server type in unofficial that'll really be up your alley. There are others in the community who actually want PVP clan-less servers, so for sure they will crop up and need players like yourself.

Only two dragons are available right now, and one is DLC for $8
All you can do right now is, run, hunt, eat, drink, fly, and breed to try and get better stats and skins, that's it.

draconia is good in its own right but not day of dragons they are very different when you play them. the big difference being pvp. also player count draconia has 50-60 from what ive seen and day of dragons has 100-200.

so if your looking for survival and pvp in a dragon game. this is it

I decided to skip this game, at least for the time being, and use the "Play as a Dino v2" mod for Ark, which happens to let you play as Wyverns, too. Breeding + nesting, AI mobs already in place, make a Herd if you wish... That'll do me nicely until this game gets more development.
