Only way to change FOV is by the console

Is this true? I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate changing my FOV every single time I die or get a loading screen...
Autoexec and System are not working for me, niether is the FOV I put in the MaldoHD options menu. It just resets to 60 every time unless I change it by console.

Yeah, it won't work. It says it changed in the console, but the field of view does not change.

If I remember correctly it is by using the ~ console command then typing cl_fov 80
80 is as high as it goes from the defult 55.

Yes, I am aware although I want to make it so it does it automatically instead of using the console, autoexec or system.

Don't you see what Crytek is doing? Crysis 2 was a CONSOLE port. What better way to rub that in your face than to make you press the CONSOLE key everytime you need to change the fov, which btw was set to the default preference of a CONSOLE. It's like everytime you press the CONSOLE key Crytek is subliminally making you wish you owned a CONSOLE. Crafty basterds huh?

Thanks Shwartz, I was not aware of this tragic CONSOLE port. I thought Crysis belonged to the PC until now.

Unironically, Crysis 2 is a much better and fun game than the badly optimized tech-demo that was Crysis 1

You use the console and the relevant commands. There are FOV settings for your speed, you can alter how far away the viewmodels are, and many, many other things. Google it. You have to input everything each time unless you make a script.
