Worth playing over crysis 3?
Hm. I was thinking of getting crisis 3 but should I play this first? Is crysis 3 better than this? If so then i'll just buy and play that.

Crysis 3 has better graphics hence it needs dx11 hardware, where as this plays with dx10 hardware, but I have played and finished crysis 3 once, I enjoyed it, but just do not want to replay it, where as I have replayed this multiple times. I am not sure why, there was nothing wrong as such with my crysis 3 playthrough, I just prefer 2 over 3, but then I prefer the slightly more open feel of 1 over 2 and 3.

I agree with Ceejay, I've enjoyed all of the Crysis games but I have played Crysis 2 through many times and consider it my fav.

I thought Crysis 2 was much better as a game, as for graphics, there's the BlackFire Mod+MaLDoHD which can push the graphics to around the level of crysis 3 (that is, it feels like a compeletely different style)

all games in the series are great and very different.

crysis 1 open world, very pc centric, but rough around the edges. stealth is in the focus, as the power mode isn't very powerful.

crysis warhead, more polished and story driven version of crysis 1. something close to what call of duty would be if crysis devs made it.

crysis 2, very polished, smaller spaces, bit more arcadey, power suit more powerful than stealth for the majority of the game.more linear and you can see some limitations of consoles affected it. still fantastic.

crysis 3 combines the polish and tight gameplay of crysis 2, but with a bit larger spaces closer to that of crysis 1, and makes stealth equal to power mode again, and introduces the bow.

best graphics, best set pieces, and really the culmination of the series as the gameplay is molded around the nano suit all the way.

play them all in order, that's what i'm doing in my series replay atm (currently on crysis 2 now)

Where should one look to get a PC version of the Crysis 3 game? Crysis 1 and 2 are on steam, but I heard there were some things with Steam and other stuff so they never added Crysis 3.

Not quite it was not added on steam, as by the time crysis 3 came out EA had origin, all new ea releases go on there, no new ea games come to steam.

eversince EA created their own game provider/DRM, Origin, they dont sell thier game outside of origin. https://www.origin.com

steam = valve, most pc games in general
uplay = ubsoft
ea = origin
social club =rockstar games
GFWL(RIP) = microsoft

Defintely play both. I liked both games a lot and i think the stories in the Crysis games are great. Crysis 3 was more enjoyable though. THough C2 is not to be missed
