yes, I just bought it an it works

Yes, but it works at only 24fps if you have vsync on and the whole game's speed is affected by it. I don't know if this is W10 related, but it's easily fixed by setting the game to run in windowed mode then pressing alt+enter right after launching the game.

Crysis and Crysis 2 both do this if you are using a TV or monitor with 24p cinema mode capability. (Rome Total War does it too) An alternative fix is to create a custom resolution one step below 1080p (1904x1071) and run these titles at that resolution. Your TV will no longer default to 24p cinema mode and you can play at 60 frames.

I can not play, Windows 10 is closing the program with the following mention, Malware found.

You cannot play multiplayer full stop, it tells you right on the store page, all the servers were shut years ago.

Many threads on this, its a false positive, the game code is just mistakingly being flagged, you need to go into your antivirus program and make the exe excempt (essenitally make it ignore the crysis2.exe)

False positives can happen, especially if something like an update does not go on properly (it can corrupt settings etc) however sometimes an update can appear to go on fine, but does not, or that bugs can sometimes be introduced with an update. Virus/malware programs are not above getting things wrong, as with all things a little bit of common sense needs to come into play.

Afterall what is more likely, you alone downloaded a virus from steams servers, yet the other thousands of players who have already bought, played and finished it, did not. Even though your all downloading the same files, which would mean that everyone who has ever played the game would be infected or that simply its a false positive :)

I'm also getting the virus detection from Windows Defender. I decided to do a playthrough today and the game is shutting down at the main menu.

Here's an interesting tidbit from Microsofts website on this (potential) virus.

Malicious programs detected as VirTool:Win32/CeeInject.gen!FG can have virtually any purpose, as this technique is utilized by many different malware families in the wild in order to protect them from detection or analysis.

Exactly this code can have any purpose, it is not directly a virus. Just because some viruses/malware do use it in their code, it does not mean the game has a virus, it menas crysis 2 contains a small bit of code, that is flagging up as a "potential" threat, not that it "is" a threat.

After all these years if crysis 2 was a threat, we would know about it, it also would not be allowed to be sold, there are industry watchdogs for this sort of thing.

I upgraded my PC with a new Motherboard, video card and processor, I had to redoad the game in steam after, that game was reloade recently.

I wanted to redo it since I had completed the game the first time it was loaded, and never had problem either in the pass.

If it's got Windows 10 it isn't really an upgrade.
