Are Crysis 2 & 3 remastered free upgrade available?
Do existing owners get free upgrade or buy again?

You have to buy them again that too on epic store. They are not released here for now.

Nope, they are only on Epic store for I think one year similar to Crysis 1 and Metro Last Light till it will hit Steam next year at this time!

There will highly likely be a loyalty discount. There was one for Crysis 1 Remastered on Steam.

But why would you want an 'upgrade' to an inferior product?

unfortunately Crysis 1 is no longer available to those who don't already own it. Remastered is the only option without a physical copy. While also some players are fighting issues with their CD keys also not working anymore. I haven't checked my copy in a few months, so can't confirm this. But otherwise, we are stuck with the remastered version now.

There is a way around if you buy crysis warhead, it gives you an offer to buy that and crysis in the maximum edition collection. Though you are paying a premium for the maximum edition.

Also crysis 2 is still currently available. I suspect it too will be removed once the remake has been released for a little.

Also personally while I appreciate they are giving owners 30% off the remake, that is still not enough for my to basically buy the same game with a hires reskin essentially. Make it 60% I Might consider it?

No doubt the remakes in the near future will go on sale anyway.

Why Crysis 2 Remastered is 54 GB while Crysis 3 Remastered is 17 GB?

Why are you asking on a forum that has nothing to do with either?

Crysis 1 and Warhead are available on GOG.

Because Epic Store has no games forum at all.

I hope they add the remastered trilogy on steam.
It will finally add full GamePad controller supports that works. It will also add Achievements.
It also adds the much needed upgrade to 4k plus. I do see a significant better detail increase at 4k and now do not want to go back to the older 2k versions I use to play.

Cry 1 remaster is on steam, the 2nd and 3rd have native xbox support.

That's why I'm expecting Crysis 2 remastered will be cheaper once it comes to Steam.

After all, that's what happened with Metro Exodus. When it first came out for Epic, it was $60. But for those who waited until it came to Steam, it dropped to $40.

The same rule should apply for Crysis 2 remastered for anyone who decides to wait for it to show up on Steam.
