Crysis 2 Maximum Edition

Anyway to "cheat" my progress back?
Hi folks. Today, suddenly the mood to play Crysis 2 overcame me, and i decided to start a new run on Post-Human difficulty.

Yet, my issue is the following one: Crysis 2 doesn't has steam cloud, and a stroke of mental incompetence prevented me from backing up my savefiles from my last PC anywhere meaning i'm now starting from all over again.

Whilst i certainly enjoy a challenge, having to collect all that Nanoviruses again is surely gonna be a pain in Post Human, so i'd rather liked to keep them. What i can't, due to given reasons.

So is there anyway to regain those? Like... i guess i could get a foreign savefile in the worst of all cases, yet i'd want to solve this the classic way, using the console, if that's possible.

Any help is highly appreciated, and thanks in advance!

i played crysis 2 recently on post-human collecting all the nanocatalyst and its not that bad actually, i just need to get used to the AI doing supressing fire on ur last known position and getting out of cover in cloack mode on the other side of the object, otherwise theres a high chance of them seeing u, or u can wait a bit, but if u still dont wanna do it, then ur best bet is using the Mod SDK to modify one of the maps FlowGraph to add nanocatalyst points to u, im not 100% sure if it works as i havent modified any official map yet, all i did was create a test map and add nanocatalyst thru the flowgraph. if u have an origin account u can use ur steam cd key to activate it there, origin saves ur progress on the cloud, not sure why steam doesnt do it with any crysis games...

This sounds like quite a complex solution to my issue, requiring me to modify map files for the purpose of getting some nanocatalyst... :/
I wonder how the devs did this during development... they must have used some sort "give nanocatalyst 2000" commands surely, didn't they?

Anyway, thanks for the reply... Althought i do not use origin, i've learned from my mistake and will now back-up.

as far as i know u just have to add the start node, then the node that gives the nanocatalyst, configure the ammount to give and link the start node with the give nanocatalyst line on the other node, then u export it to the engine and i think u're good to go. they might have had console commands but they disabled it for the end-user... on the mission where u activate some bombs on a parking lot underneath a building, before going into the parking lot u can farm some nanocatalyst points, the game will keep spawning aliens for u, sadly it wont spawn more ammo, but its a nice way to speed things up.
