Heres a guide: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=963384610
This has been discussed to death, do people not read forums before posting utter nonsesnse. Its not a virus. Its a false positive...Its a known issue with windows defender.
Smoke less crack, please.
Have to agree, total nonsense.
If this discussed so many times and affected so much people why Windows Defender still not fixed this by adding Crysis to white list? This is hilarious.
Uninstall. Crysis of course, not Windows 10 or Windows Defender.
Its ms's fault, as defender is live, the game is not, it is old and has not been worked on in years
That you would uninstall the game, when you could just manually add to exceptions to get it working or even just disable defender, which is what is actually causing the issue, is what is hilarious.
Your basically saying oh, I got shot in the arm. we are in pain. We are saying remove the bullet as that is what is causing the problem, and your just like well remove the arm, that would also fix the pain issue? Why? We want the arm, just like we want the game.
Again its down to Microsoft to automatically add the game to defenders exceptions, so go ask them why they are not adding it? That has nothing to do with us discussin it on the forums.
Most hilarious statement of the day! Why the hell on earth everyone should trust you, instead of MS security team, which is fixing such things very quickly especially for old games??? Who tells you that this is false positive? And what gives you the right to assure in this everyone?
Also how is it not ms's fault? Its their software which is causing the issue, no other antivirus does it?
The only thing I cannot understand is your response. It makes no sense at all. I mean I am really trying to see things from your point of view, but I just cannot get my head up my behind.
I can repeat and add to this: Defender very rarely alarming for suspucious files and if this is really false positive then it fixed very quickly. How long ago this trouble? According your words pretty long
Ok, go trust other antivirus, if you think that Windows Defender
mistakenly considers Crysis the virus for a month and has not yet added it to the white list. But i ask you again: why the hell you convince in this everyone else? And doing statement like this:
Again defender has had this issue for years, i cannot answer as to why MS have not fixed their product yet in regards to this, you need to ask them.
Also again not everyone gets it with defender, its simply down to the way defender checks for viruses, I have never had defender flag this up ever, on any of my computers, but it is known to do it on occasion.
Defender never actually states it finds a virus, it simply warns of possbile mallicious code....possible, not that is actually is...and as the game is ancient, if it was mallicious code everyone would know about it now, plus other virus killers would also find a virus, if it was a virus.
