Yet, there is nothing woke in the game at all. So it doesn't even matter what Sweet baby did, obviously they were not hired to "wokeify" the game as evidenced by the fact that game isn't woke at all.

Well, except to the racists and sexist SJWs who literally believe having a main character that isn't male and/or white automatically means the game is woke.

What do you think about this quote in the game? https://twitter.com/Scanolion/status/1729858409703571899?t=pQEG08_xarI0XwKJnNGUOg&s=19

It's the dark world doing that, not Saga herself. Dark world showing dark things, makes sense. It's a statement that was literally supposed to be seen as a bad statement since it's a statement created by the dark world.

How ironic

Infiltration pays off. Expect more of this in AAA titles in near future.

You just noticed? It's been like this for years. Anyone who takes TGA seriously after TLOU2 bs is a fool.

Ok, there are some bits here and there that are questionable, but im at the end of the game now. Had it on my backburner for a bit.

Like its hard to believe saga is tor's family, its strange to me they did not pick a half white/half black person to play this role. Perhaps im being biased without knowing it lol, im just asking for a bit of immersion here. I had ancestors involved in the underground railroad (asa wing for example), I dont consider myself racist.

But oh man, this bit here burnt me a bit.

Saga is stuck in the dark place, after being thrown in the lake. Her "dark" self is talking and says something like "The white man telling me what to do like they always have."

This kinda stuff leaves a real bad taste in my mouth.

In Bowden’s History of the Society of Friends in America, it is mentioned that “two English Friends, named Christopher Holden and John Copeland came to Sandwhich on the 20th of the 6th month” of 1657[29] and there they found friends of toleration and resisters of an oppressive law in Daniel Wing, the son of John Wing and Deborah Bachiler, and grandson of Stephen Bachiler. Daniel Wing and his brother Stephen Wing and others resisted an oppressive law in the town of Sandwhich which publicly punished men and women by whipping, for “meetings at private houses, for encouraging others in holding meetings, for entertaining the preachers and for the unworthy speeches”. By 1658, Daniel Wing, with others who acted with him, became active converts and there were 18 families who recorded their names in the documents of the society. Writers of 1658-1660 said “We have two strong places in this land, the one at Newport and the other at Sandwhich; almost the whole town of Sandwhich is adhering towards them” and the records of the Monthly Meetings of Friends show that the Sandwhich Monthly Meeting was the first established in America. [30]

For more than 10 years, until his death in 1854, Wing opened his Mexico home to slaves trying to escape bondage through the Underground Railroad.

On March 8, 1854, Wing died of unknown causes. Frederick Douglass, a former slave and well-known abolitionist who was a close friend, delivered the eulogy at his funeral.

"He poured out his life for the perishing slave, pleading for him with an eloquence and earnestness which could scarcely have been more direct, pathetic and touching, had his own wife and children been on the auction block, " Douglass said at the time of Wing's death.

Im supposed to feel ashamed about what a bunch of rich ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ did? Its people like my ancestor's that we have a country where anyone is allowed to be free in the first place. But yes, white men are the problem.

Melanie Liburd, the actress that voiced and is the model in the game, her mother is white her father is black, Melanie is literally half wife and half black.

That actually makes a lot of sense for her to say that, the dark place is trying to rewrite who she is and is trying to turn her into a cliched person with a victim complex. The Dark place being evil, making her dark self saying something evil makes a lot of sense.
