[RESOLVED] Low FPS no matter what setting?
Radeon HD 7970
Phenom 2 x6 1075t
8GB RAM
Win 7 x64

I don't get what the problem could be, I can run every other game like Alien Isolation at ultra with a constant 60FPS but no matter what setting I choose, low/med/high, I always seem to be stuck at about 24-25 FPS in this game.

Anyone else who has this problem or know a fix?

Check if the VSync is ON. That could be putting a limit on your FPS.

I thought it might be that too at first, but it isn't. Regardless if VSync is on or off it never leaves the area around 24 FPS. :conwayheadscratch:

Seems this is another game that hates ADM GPU's
Genesis 5. jan. 2015 kl. 10.15
Check if you have an integrated GPU, the game may be using that one instead of your dedicated GPU.

i have the same hardware, and the game runs perfect

acutally the game doesnt hate ati my bf and me had played it both on ati and nvidia its hadrware limitation somewhere..the game did run on his ati 2x better than on my same good nvidia

Edit:
cannot be your gpu is 10x fast in all than his Hd6670 was that time..

EDIT 2

do you have turned on any MSS/SSAA? try turning off. when i had ATI they oftne have up upon such things idk why but ati does not perform so well with those like nvidia does which wonders me since they power should be more while having much power theoetical powers..

Fixed!

I recently switched from an Nvidia to an AMD GPU about a month ago, the problem seems to have been related to the Nvidia drivers that I (thought) I had uninstalled. After running a program called Driver Sweeper and rebooting, I'm getting 60FPS on high settings. Game runs perfect!

Thanks for the help guys.

Nope. If it were using his integrated card, it wouldn't even launch, unless somehow his integrated card has MSAA support built in.
My laptop has an Nvidia GTX765M coupled with an Intel HD4600. I don't even know if the Intel HD4600 has MSAA support but the game runs at 15-20 fps on it (lowest settings).

edit:
tells me lots of ati display is installed without having a board driver installed ?o0

Guys, you are awesome. Even in 2019 I had these troubles. Changed from a Nvidia GTX 970 to an amd vega 56 and had about 10-20 fps.
Using DDU (very recommended software!) I deinstalled the hidden rest of my Nvidia drivers and now i have over 100 fps.
This is why I love this community. Thank you very very much!

same here.
my solution was to do the win10 inplace upgrade (start (usb-stick) win10 installation from a running win10 and do an installation/"upgrade" with the setting "keep your files and apps") dont boot from stick, that will only give the option to keep your data without apps/programs.

good thing i know now that it was the nvidia driver that was still installed.

so sorry to dig up old bones yall, but i'm having similar issues using an egpu (rx 5600 xt) on a current gen i7. i have the app locked to the amd gpu through windows graphics preferences but still registering igpu performance. i even disable the intel drivers to lock ALL to the AMD but still ♥♥♥♥♥. so far all my other games are running very smooth otherwise

if you ever had a nvidia gpu installed in your system, look up a complete driver uninstalling tool (i don't know the name right now).
Can't say anything about intel GPU, but those would be hard to uninstall. You would have to deactivate the Intel GPU via Windows "Device Manager" first before uninstalling drivers. Because otherwise Windows is automatically installing the drivers for plug&play use.
