Like, maybe you shouldn't make your games so expensive that you literally have to change the themes of the game.
How's that art? It's just commercial propaganda. Why shouldn't Remedy tank for this?
Also, I ain't going to "drop" anything. I would like to buy Alan Wake 2 on Steam as a consumer, there is no harm in asking the developers if they KNOW or DONT KNOW if it WILL or WILL NOT be coming to steam. I am sure that MANY of us would like to know if it will ever come to this platform or not, so yeah.
But if you want to wait for the game or a anwser take a seat and goodluck.
Guess Ill wait 15 years to play Aw1 Remasterd and AW2. No harm done.
It's not that I don't like Epic, I just like all my games in one place, y'know.
I didn't like the musical scenes in Alan chapters. Way too silly. Glad Saga's chapters at least never got that silly.
Anyway, you can buy AW2 on Epic and then add it as to steam as a non-steam game and just launch it from your steam library. As long as you have the Epic app set to auto-sign in the game should startup smoothly.
Btw, the Epic exclusive AW Remaster doesn't technically require the Epic app to launch as you can delete/rename/move the Epic .dll(EOSSDK I think? I don't have it installed rn) from the game's install folder and you can launch it without starting up the Epic app.
Speaking of launching AW. I was very surprised when launching AW2. It literally took almost no time at all for when i clicked on the icon to when I was playing. It was around 7 seconds I would say. No intros, logos, ad, or promos. Didnt even see Epic launcher pop up. Just loaded AW 2, select continue, and bam. You were playing that fast. It was very nice.
Yeah, feels like that's rare these days.
Anyway, I have thought about grabbing AW2 on Epic but I just don't like not owning it on steam where all my other games are. I have added games to steam via "ADD NON STEAM GAME" but again, I don't really like that idea. Sometimes the games disappear in my library after I have added them, sometimes it says "incorrect file path" and a few other things when I press PLAY so I stopped doing that a while ago and mainly just stuck to steam.
Oh, I also did not know that AW remaster "technically" doesn't require the Epic app to launch. That's cool.
If I ever do pick up AW2 or AW remastered I will probably do this but I ain't sure if I will. Might just bite the bullet and wait on it coming to steam (if it ever does).
Anywho, thank you for letting me know. I already knew I could do this but thanks anyway for the other information my dude! Appreciated!
Depending on fast you move through it, it's like a 15-30 min section with a lot of music and sorta music-video-like visuals in the background -- idk how to describe it really. It's a bit silly imo, but some people really like it. Search youtube for 'Alan Wake 2 We Sing gameplay' if you're curious about it.
