The reason why Alan Wake 2 is an Epic Store exclusive is because they funded in the development and marketing of the game.

Maybe sometime in the future it will be released here on Steam, but I can't imagine it will be soon.

I agree that I prefer Steam to other game clients and have been using it since the first day it came out back in 2003, but you can't say that Remedy are scums if Epic told them "Hey we'll help pay for the games budget and marketing" which reportedly cost €75,000,000.

I know it may not be ideal for some people, but at least it is still available for the PC and not a console exclusive or something. If it wasn't for Epic, the game may have never been made.

Look, I prefer Steam too. Though to be fair, I think EPIC are kind to give out 1-2 free games every Thursday - they released a game for free every day for a week or so during Christmas last year, which included games like Alien Isolation & Guardians of the Galaxy; those two add up to £85 alone.

For me personally, I don't think it's the end of the world. At least we can actually play the game.

Its neither steam or Epic responsibility to fund any project. Considering we haven't seen any new articles it still hasn't broke even. You wonder why most publishers didn't want to fund the project.

Played it on Series X anyway but im pretty sure most of its sales were on playstation, we can say AW2 is basically a console exclusive untill the PC version arrives. The real one, of course since that failed dumpster fire doesn't count.
