Alan Wake 2 is the buggiest game ever made
Just now I got chased by scratch and went off into a dead end and died, do you know why? Because the barrier that was meant to stop me from going that way hadn't loaded in, so I ended up going somewhere I wasn't supposed to. then sat there for a 4 minute load screen to restart.

Before that I fell into the void because the ground hadn't loaded in, often the light doesn't load, characters voices don't play, textures and entire geometry is missing, my flashlight turned into a square once, I've fallen into the ground, I've been teleported to different rooms, had items stuck on my character when I'm trying to use something else and if you ever run, you're going to outpace the game loading in the next area every time and see through walls.

Just beat the game last night. I have 40 hours playtime. I encountered one minor visual glitch that was fixed in the 2nd patch. Not a single crash, or anything else.

I'm sorry you're having issues though.

I'm currently falling through the ground again for no reason. Also items in the world are invisible even though I can pick them up.

The ways this game is bugged seem endless.

I'm playing on PS5 and it is still super buggy. For every bug they fix they add a new one. It's the buggiest game I've played in a long long time. Crazy that it is still bad 3 months later.
Sorry I just had to vent my frustration 😓

these people have bugs because they have crap computers, and then they blame the game...

I'm on a 4070 and 12700 and it keeps dropping to 15 fps. There are issues for people even with good hardware. And no I'm not playing on max settings with ray tracing, I'm on medium and low

I think Bethesda would be insulted by this thread

I played at 1440p with no RT, and 1080p with RT. Always had a stable 60FPS.

I'd look into your system on why FPS is dropping so low.

My system is like 4 months old and I have zero problems with any other game, it's only AW2. I just uninstalled it. I've had bugs all the way through, some where I had to reset and start over and of course since you can't save when you want I lost like an hour of tedious crap.

How interesting that my 3070 Ti had no problem with this game. "its only AW2..." Damn your video card must really hate this ONE game... Oh and the fact, that they made the game BETTER to graphic cards, so it should not be a problem for your 4070... Alan Wake 2 was a mayor success. It sold better than control. The game had some bugs, but they patched it out. You can now even Choose which chapter you want to play. So your "lost" one hour can be redone. Crazy how you can say all these things... Don't listen to this guy. Google the patch notes guys. :Page:

im not sure why you are so angry that I have a bug, did you consider that maybe it only affects 4000 level cards? that's why it's called a bug, because it's not working as intended. You don't have to take it personally but you just sound pathetic.

It wouldnt make sense that its a bug affecting 4000 series cards. The game's requirement has specifically 4070 and 4080. So those were def tested by Remedy.

I'd say it is your system. Whether its hardware or software. Youll need to do some troubleshooting. Have you tried DDU and clean boot?

Look in to a mirror mate... There is no bug like that. Check your pc. And relax, nobody is angry with you. Even a 1080 can handle this game. :Page:

this is the exact issue im having so im not alone, people with 4000 and 3000 series cards but even 4080 and 4090. https://www.reddit.com/r/AlanWake/comments/17jvlek/random_fps_drops_on_pc_after_playing_for_a_little/

from that thread:

Julius from Remedy wrote on discord about this bug:

''It's an issue that we're still investigating and you shouldn't expect it to be fixed in the next update. I understand your desire to play the game and your frustration. Apologies for that.''

but still no fix apparently
