Alan Wake 2 pc requirements... Sheesh
RX6600 here, according to the sheet, it'll only be able to handle the game at 1080p, low settings, FSR2 quality and targetting freaking 30fps. Insane.

EDIT: Aight it actually runs pretty well :) The requirementes were slightly exaggerated. At 1080p (native) and low settings, I get around 58-60fps in the lighter areas, and around 40 in the most demanding ones (forests and such). With FSR turned on in quality mode, its pretty much never below 60 in the forests and 80 in some other areas.

I compared low and high settings in several instances and I barely noticed anything different, even the performance didn't get that much worse, so it feels like high settings, if anything, were made with longevity in mind. Obviously the big difference here is with ray-tracing, which I didn't use because they tank the fps, but the game still looks gorgeous without it.

Its good, guys! And its not poorly optimized at all, its just demanding, but still runs very well on my entry level GPU! My only performance issues were when going in and out of certain menus, there's a bit of stuttering, but I heard those happen with the console ports as well, so maybe it'll be fixed in a patch.

Unfortunately it doesn't have one aside from vsync, which locks the game to your display's refresh rate.

Holy hell I'm watching a stream & this guy is playing with a 3080 at low settings 1440P with DLSS at quality & it's 60-70fps & without upscaling it's like 40s that's crazy at least the low settings look good but geeze.

MSI Afterburner.

The requirements turned out to be quite reasonable. Without ray tracing, the game is playable on everything

MSI Afterburner.

or just via nvidia control panel?

I found out the default AA in game kinda just sucks especially for things in the distance things just kinda shimmer & once you see it you can't unsee it even FSR quality looks better than native resolutions because of the shimmering so if you haven't turned on upscaling do it lol.

I have an AMD card, and while it also has that, it takes too much screen space. MSI is compact and simple if you set it up right, you can also hide the info with the press of a button.

Yeah, this sucks, apparently there is a way to use DLSS with the native res (so it would just be an AA, basically), but that's not an option for FSR, you're left with some half-baked forced TAA. Hope they patch this soon, the shimmer looks ugly in some areas.

Yea it was almost immediately noticeable it'svery annoying I don'tknow how they messedit so bad thst FSR looksbetterthan native & Alan Wake2 seems to have the same non RT reflection problem that are in Control were it looks like a bunch of ants moving on reflective surfaces it's not as bad as it was in Control but it's definitely there.
And shadows seem broken they look the same at low & high it's so blurry & pixeled so low seems the way to go it's basically free frames.

Looks like AMD comes out the loser with this game. I guess I need to refund it as its optimized only for Nvidia. I thought it was strange there was no system requirements even on release hour. Now I know why.

But there are system requirements though, lol, they announced them a few days ago. Which GPU do you have? I have an AMD Rx6600 and its running fine here.
