How exactly do you think detective works.But finding clues and reviewing your case files. There is plenty of action in this game and puzzles.It is not just about what your complaining about in any way.

IF this is how detective work has to be in a game, then it shouldn't be in the game. Every game today thinks there has to be some stupid detective mode where you're analyzing the foot prints and checking the clues, what am I really doing? I'm just pressing buttons at contextual areas of an area, my character says something about it, then I have to go into my mental cubicle and put pictures or notes on a wall. I'm not solving a damn thing, any other game would unfold the story or mystery by the gameplay, by the events unfolding, this doesn't DO ANYTHING. Have a single one of you ever gone back to the board and followed the strings and the logic and read the clues to try and figure something out? Of course you haven't, because you're not solving anything by doing this. You dragged the clues onto the board until you had no more clues, then you immediately closed out and went back to playing the game until it gave you more stupid stuff to put up. Its busy work, its lame. Why aren't I at a rock concert blasting waves of enemies with flares right now? Why aren't I driving through the country side and risking my life running into barns looking for supplies right now? This sucks, Alan Wake 1 was thrilling and the story was told just fine.

I'm just sharing what I've learnt and am more than a little disappointed with what I've found out. If the dev wants to work with racist bigots that inturn work with a murder? Guys, the sequel to a game I loved is not for me because its got bad game design this other guy pretends is real detective work thats critical to the game. You liar, you never once reviewed those clues to try and figure out the story, you're just moving things into the place the game tells you it goes until Saga TELLS you the story. Get real.
