Do not buy Alan Wake 2 yet
The game is good enough though its not everyones cup of tea and the shift from shooter to survival horror is a bit baffling though it can be quite fun at times.
Unfortunately Alan Wake 2 is absoloutely broken. Guess the game was rushed out the door to be in time for the spooky season.
So far ive encountered being stuck in the air, Nothing rendering when switching from the mind place to the real world, and now ive encountered a bug where the game will crash during one of the boss fights pretty much softlocking me.

As usual. Epic-customers get to betatest games for the Steam release. When it comes over it will probably be fixed and on sale. YAY!

Literally every game released in past few years is broken. No matter the platform you buy from. If you buy game on release, you asking for having bad experience.

Literally every game I bought on release this year was not broken. I guess, I just don't buy complete trash then?

I had only one bug in 8 hours, when Wake fell off the map, it's not more broken than many other big releases.

"Literally" hey? Just because a few AAA devs ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up does not mean you make it "Literally" for every dev who worked hard on bug-free games.

RE4R wasn't broken. Bought it day one and almost 70 hours of gametime and not a single crash. Hell I can barely remember a single bug.

For everyone saying all modern games are broken that doesnt excuse a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing. Besides thats usually Bethesda and Multiplayer games that are broken. All the games this year for me at least have been pretty smooth except for Alan Wake 2.

I think I'll wait until I get Nvida's blackwell GPU. If it still isn't on steam by then....Ahhooyy maty.

I had performance issues and I'm above system requirements.

Wait, so is it confirmed that AW2 is just a timed exclusive for Epic?

I keep reading some conflicting info, about AW2 (and the Remasters) being either forever stuck on Epic Store, since Epic funded the development, or it being just a 5 year exclusivity platform deal etc. etc.

So which one is likely?

Alan Wake 2 Officially Announced, Will Be Remedy's "First Survival Horror Game" - 12-9-21
It wasn't "rushed". 😆
It plays great on the PS5. On PC there are more points of failure and is why PC gamers (which I am one) have more problems with games on PC.

It most likely won't, even if it did consumers would still need the epic launcher to play it most likely.

If it's not on steam i don't care about it. Will take it years later on steam at 80% discount like other "epic first" games.

Those weren't funded by epic so its not really the same.

Another useless thread by someone who doesn't understand what 'broken' means. I shall elucidate. 'Broken: make or become inoperative.' The game is operating just fine for me which means it is not broken. If it's not operating for you then it's a 'you' problem.
