Alan Wake 2 won't come to Steam in one year, probably never because Epic is publishing and funding the game. Same thing with Alan Wake Remastered, did it come out on Steam after 1 year?...Exactly.
Don't just wander into a forum and try to join a discussion randomly. Reading is fundamental.
There's no reason it can't be purchased/used on a non steam platform.
Geez, if clicking on a separate launcher distresses the chads so much, they should use something like the "Playnite" launcer, which combines steam, gog, epic, EA and more into one launcher.

Meanwhile Half Life 3 still doesn't exist.
Little bruh, you say chad way too much, like a toddler that just learned a new word...a new really dumb word.
There is no "another storefront". Alan Wake 2 is only on EGS, and a lot of folks dislike their exclusivity BS that forces players to buy from their store instead of choosing to buy from it because it has features you like (it barely has any features, its barebones). I have no problem buying from GoG, EA, Ubi, Steam, etc. but I won't give EGS my money, period.
The only way exclusivity is fair is if its a 1st party game (Half Life or Portal for Steam, Assassins Creed for Ubi, Fortnite for Epic). Forcing 3rd party games into exclusivity deals is hostile to the dev and to the customer, I just won't support it.

Forcing? Epic paid for Alan Wake 2 to be made. Without Epic there would be no game at all. Third parties got bills to pay. Plus, a lot of 1st party nintendo titles are actually made by other devs, so the line isn't as clear as you think. Think like an adult FFS.
if you're on PC, using steam or Gog or epic, something like the playnite launcher can access anything on those store with a max two click.
So what's your beef then? Epic hater? Lots of store have exclusives, but Epic is somehow worse for that?
Yeah, mindless hate.
Your just arguing over a store and 1st/3rd party titles. When many different publishers make 3rd party titles exclusive as well. So yea. By using that its more like an argument and less of an opinion.
Publishers will even use 3rd party titles for awhile making them exclusive. SONY does it all the time. Sometimes eventually even buying the studio outright to constantly keep them exclusive. Nothing new here. Move along.
