What company honestly cares about the consumer? All businesses are here to talk our money. That is it. How they market it and try to get it from us is different.

Doesnt anyone remember SONY trying to set a new sale price of PS5 games at over $70? If there was no competition they would of had their way even if the people made an uproar. Since the competition was there they had to do a 180. That is why competition is good and needed. To keep other companies in check.

EGS as per their roadmap is doing a social overhaul. They may allow reviews at some point?

I personally dont care about reviews, yes I have made some but I just like finding out if a game is good on my own if it appeals to me. Even when reading reviews and they are negative I will still play it if it looks fun. It doesnt really matter what others say. Unless it was Cyberpunk, but you can also see what was going on w/o having to play it.

remedy(sellout) and epic(disease) are sleeping together, it's going to be the same for Alan Wake 2

Skyrim remastered was free for skyrim owners as far as i remember.

Epic games is funding and publishing the remaster, so it's fair for it to be only on EGS, just like how HL2 and other Valve games are only on Steam.
Exactly if epic is funding it i can not see it coming to steam

The PC versions still looks great on Ultra so the remaster didn't really sound too appealing, but this likely means an Alan Wake 2 is going to be an Epic Store Exclusive and that bums me out because I'm not using the Epic Launcher.

Guess that money from the Chinese government was too appealing for Remedy to pass up.

This is really odd. Considering Microsoft renegotiated the music licensing not too long ago after the 14 year expiry and the game features Microsoft product placement in the car you'd think it'd be more a Gamepass exclusive.

Anyway, yet another way to squeeze more money out of old (even if good) idea as I'm sure current owners won't get a free upgrade. I really hate the remake/remaster world we live in.

Yeah, I don't think so. Remedy sold themselves after making a reputation with Steam and Consoles. It's more than enough for them, so like the post below said, Epic already paid for my copy, I'll just redeem it somewhere else :>

Dont care at which store but who needs a remaster??? The game is still perfect playable and looks good, i was really hoping for an alan wake2 announcement but it seems that this is now even farer away then before if the team works on a remaster.
