but this is more like a horror game than an atmostpheric adventure game like i thought it was

no its not, the atmospher of the game makes it scary, the rest of it is just an awesome scenery

It's not scary but spooky. Trust me I am a chicken when it comes to horrors.
In AW there were some spooky/eerie moments like in Steven 's King novels or The X-files but nothing as strong as SOMA, for instance.

I kinda agree with you... it is eerie - but not scary imo. Condemed is about the only game that really freaked me out - and system shock 2 back in the day. Finish it - its worth every minute.

I hoped that this would be scarier but it's just a full on action game with dark theme. Still a good game but I was hoping more psychological horror approach.

If you think this game is too scary to play, then you should:

1. never play Five Nights At Freddy's

2. probably get rid of those horns on your screen name

3. also probably change your screen name to like "Rainbow Unicorn DIva" or something cause seriously this game is so not scary

Well something being scary or not is a personal matter. I found this game scary when playing in a dark room and using headphones. The atmosphere this game create with visual effects, sounds, story and characters is just overwhelming. Yet I don't put this game to same category with outlast or Alien Isolation, which are "truly" horror games.

i understand but i feel like something about this game is scarier than some of the truly horror games i've played in the past... i dont like ghosts i think i can take monsters better

lmao outlast was a f cking mission to complete. i had the shakes bad man. i also played it with a friend in a skype call, and boy he screamed so loud sometimes that the mic wouldn't even pick it up, and he woke up his dad who went off at him hahaha. Awesome game though and i would do it 100 times again. One of the best games I rekon ive ever played.

Haha I feel you. Could play outlast like max 2 hours at a time. Lights out + headphones works for me on these kind of games. It's like all the space movies feels so much better when watched in cinemas vs you watch them on home with daylight. It's all about immersion.

1. FNAF is nothing but a jumpscare fest, lazy writing and design.

2. Horns don't signify horror at all, I mean goats have horns, rhinos have horns, narwhals have horns.

3. Like someone else said, "scary is subjective" also deadly doesn't necessarily mean scary either, elephants are deadly, kittens are deadly (for infants) and so on and so forth.

mute the game and it is as scary as a lollipop.
