Low specs? Don't despair!!!
I just received this from a friend as a gift, but I have no desktop rig - just 3 old laptops & a netbook. I went ahead and installed it, and it ran like crap, even at the lowest settings. This felt weird/wrong, since I had been able to run Max Payne decently well.

I found a YouTube video from a guy who tweaks out game settings for low-spec comps like mine (Win10 64-bit HP Pavilion G7; integrated Radeon HD 4200; 8g ram; readyboost for another 4g). With the move to Win10, I lost Catalyst Control Center, so it has to be done through a combo of setting changes & Steam launch command line parameters -

But don't despair! I just went ahead and modified the resolution to 8oox600, set -noblur, set -rigidcamera, and -developeroptions (so I can start straight into Nightmare mode).

The game was then running at 40+ FPS, and I started making micro adjustments (custom options) until I got it to where I am happy enough with the look & performance at around 30fps.

So if you were gifted it, and it didn't run for your rig, I hope this helps.
