Does this game drags on for too long?

I'm like in the middle of Episode 5, I think. The story's really interesting so far, but the gameplay got absolutely boring hours ago. How many episodes are there?

I just got the game on this sale, remembering how cool and anticibated it's been in 2011. Actually storry seems good so far. I'm in the middle of Ep.2 now. But is gameplay all like this? Got bored by the middle of 2nd episode. I would be really more excited if the game suggested more running away and less illuminating+shooting enemies. But apparently, since Alan's heart condition or something, even spectral luberjacks outrun him in 2 steps, and if there are more than one, add to that them throwing stuff, its almost impossible in most cases to outrun them on the distances offered by game even on normal difficulty, unless you try many-many times and you are lucky.

BTW, keyboard controlling in this game is awful.

I beat it like 2 days ago, the ending was great. But yes, sadly the gameplay is like that for almost all of the time. Btw, I didn't have any problem with mouse and keyboard, just had to adjust the mouse sensibility a bit.
