HOW TO FIX "FAILED TO LOAD -" MAIN MENU MOD BUG

Hi there! Are you getting the following error?

"Failed to load the main menu from the current game mod . The main menu in that mod requires the level . Make sure to clear any local mods and try again. If the problem persists, please contact Larian support."

I've been having a similar issue, but found a fix. It does require another app and a fresh install though.
It seems like there might be a registry key or something else that needs to be deleted that's hard to find, but rather than try and do the world's hardest game of needle in haystack, go install the free Revo Uninstaller. It's a free application that tries to make sure every folder and file from something is actually deleted and not just hidden somewhere.
Uninstall Baldur's Gate 3 through the Revo Uninstaller app and make sure you scan and delete any files/folders it find, then do a fresh install of Baldur's Gate 3. Mine started working fine after doing this.

I'm getting no error code.... but have used revo unistaller and advanced setting where I delete everything. Then I reinstall... still doesn't work. Since Patch #3 the game will not load or give me any reason for why it won't. Just "An error has occurred...." Doesn't say what error or where.... multiple time I've sent a report to Larian... no reply.

Can anyone walk me through doing this on a steam deck? Tried updating on bad WiFi and I’m assuming that corrupted my files 76 hrs into the game. Not sure how to find the modsettings file on steam deck. Currently trying to validate hopefully that works
