Game crashes on startup

Game is crashing on startup, both Vulkan and DirectX are not working. I have no mods installed. Completely uninstalled and reinstalled game as well.
An empty network... file is being created every time and the gold... file is only giving the text:

Funny thing is it worked flawlessly yesterday and now it just won`t start anymore, without me changing anything.

Delete any files you find there

Do this *even if you never had mods* It's to eliminate the possibility of there being that one mod you installed and though you'd removed fully only the uninstall was not as thorough as you could reasonably expect from an amateur mod maker.

Start the game and in the launcher, click on the settings lower left and see if "Check for outdated graphics drivers" and "Display the file verification message on crash" are checked. if not do so.

Scroll down and click "Reset Graphics Settings"
Do a 'Reset Launcher' as well

Restart game and see if it helps

I meant the files created with the crash dump. But yes I have deleted all traces of mods in the steam folder and the %localappdata% folder

Crashing on startup with my Mac. Been a week with no word from the developer. I've sent many crash reports. Nothing.

Crashing on start up for my mac too. I got into the game once since buying it, to build my character, before it crashed.

i'm glad i'm not the only one. i mean it sucks but I havent seen another mac user in these specific discussions. really hope they fix it soon.

MacBook user here. BG3 hangs on loading, after the NVIDIA logo, since Hotfix 17. Same thing happened after Hotfix 16, and only able to fix it by deleting and re-downloading the game (takes FOREVER). No response yet from tech support with other suggestions.

I deleted and reinstalled and it didn't change unfortunately. if anything it crashes even faster.

Yes, this time I deleted and reinstalled, and it didn't change. Still no response from support. Grrr!!!!

I'm having the same issue on PC. I've done all the fixes I found on line and nothing. I'm 13 hours in and this game was the main reason I decided to go back to PC gaming....maybe I made a mistake and should have just bought a PS5.

there was some unannounced 4+ gb update today that kept failing to download. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game and it still crashed, useless, i know, just putting it out there in case any of yall have experienced the same.
