Huge FPS Drops and Lag
I've tried so many things and I'm really not sure what to do now. The game always starts off fine, sometimes capping at over 100fps then dropping suddenly to 2fps. Sometimes it works well enough that I don't mind some of the lag but other times I'll load the game and I'm screwed.

Things I've tried:
- skip launcher
- all settings are lowest possible
- system update
- system reset
- nvidia optimization
- razer optimization
- changed nvidia settings
- tried Vulcan and got a screaming, frozen laptop in response... but was the best it worked..

I checked to make sure that my laptop should be able to handle the game and it said it should be able to work on the highest settings. Here is my setup. It's an older Razer.

Computer model: Razer Blade 15 Base Model (Early 2020) - RZ09-0328
Operating system: Microsoft Windows 11 Home (10.0, Build 22621)
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10750H CPU @ 2.60GHz 6/12 0.0v
Motherboard: Razer DA550
RAM: 16 GB
Hard disk: SAMSUNG MZVLB512HBJQ-00A00 (476.9 GB/Fixed hard disk media)
Graphics card1: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 with Max-Q Design (8 GB)
Graphics card2: Intel(R) UHD Graphics (1 GB)

Please help. I really love this game and just want to play it properly :( Is there anything I can do or do I just need to wait for another update?

Initial questions, No SSD? Or is that Samsung actually an SSD, in which case it is probably too small.
Are you sure that your PC is using the 2070 or could it be using the UHD.

Are you certain that there are no other apps running in the background. Have you followed the guides, to clear caches, etc and to ensure that your PC is running smoothly.

- nvidia optimization
- razer optimization
- changed nvidia settings

what sort of optimisations. Changed what nvidia settings from what to what.

The Samsung is the SSD {I think). I looked it up and it said Blade 15 SSD.

I'm very certain it's using 2070 as that's the driver that I've updated twice now and made sure that it's set to that in the game.

Nvidia setting: Changed antialiasing to enhance and some other things from a youtube video

Razer cortana has setting that you can hit optimize to free up memory. I did that.

Nvidia geforce used that to optimize the game for performance (i.e. clicked optimize for performance).

I also verified the integrity and that seemed ok.

Personally I never trust Razor. But certainly if you are having issues running any game, do not set to performance, that normally means they set up your machine for highest performance and that is the opposite of what you want.

Follow this guide.
