I've also tried the suggested fixes (on the Larian page as well as others suggested elsewhere) but nothing was able to resolve the issue.
Some people have stated that the game crashed after installing the new macOS operating system (sonoma 14.1), but I was using the previous version (ventura) when it happened. I've also sent a ticket to the Larian customer support, but it's probably going to be while until a reply arrives.
It is a shame that Larian don't have timed saves.
I have found the tips in this guide very helpful.

Oh no, I didn't play for 14 hours straight without saving lol, I think I might save too often when playing BG3, thats just how long that campaign had existed and unnecessary detail on my part.
And thank you for the help and suggestion but I've already tried that guide to no avail
And with 340 hours total under your belt, you should know many of the tips and tricks. But I have heard that there was an Nvidia update, on 26th. It seems that that might have had an effect.
Something like that lol and I do know them, I tend to use the delete all but the latest save option in campaigns I've finished so this was the only campaign that had a chunk of saves but they're set to delete themselves after like 25 quicksaves/autosaves.
Even then I deleted 97% of the saves sitting in my steam cloud thinking it might've indeed been a storage issue but it's made no difference. This also happened on the 18th. Believe me, the save files taking up space and leaving no room for the game to boot was my first thought when it initially crashed and one of the first things I tested. I've tried pretty much everything, I came here hoping I could find a suggestion or answer that I hadn't already thought of or tried but thank you
Have tried to remove all uppdates, re-download and then verified installation.
I have read and replied to your thread. Your issue is of different description and therefore not the same. If you think it is the same, you need to fix your thread.
Same applies to you.
For clarification: a new game just work well for you?
I can't even get far enough into the game to find that out, it's been crashing before I can reach the 'start game' screen for the past week and some change.
Odd. Could you provide a DxDiag report of your HP PC you have tested it on? I do not know about GeForce Now, but if you can get a DxDiag report of that, it would help your case.
Sure! Here's the top bit of the dxdiag report and while I can't find an in-depth explanation of the specs of the GeForce Now rig I use, I do know at the bare minimum that it uses an RTX 4080 and can smoothly run BG3 at the games absolute highest graphics settings if that's any help at all.

I need the whole thing. You can either share the txt file in whole via a webhost service like Dropbox, MEGA or Google Drive, or you use a service like pastebin.com
Sorry about that, this is new to me

No worries. You might be surprised what one can find out about PCs from the DxDiag which are often forgotten to be mentioned. I can see why you are using GeForce Now. The laptop is not bad, but not good for gaming at all. It is for office/education only with little to none multimedia capabilities. You seem already to put it to use to the limits.
Let us explore juliejayne's lead a little more, since she might be onto something.
If you right click on the game in your Steam Library, select properties - and share a screenshot of that first screen. You can use ibb.co for sharing screenshots.
Did you get any error code with GeForce Now?
https://ibb.co/Hndr3m1
Unfortunately GeForce Now closes the moment a games crashes so I don't get a chance to see the Larian Crash report screen or any sort of error code but the exact same crash happens on there too, game loads up to 100% and then quits. It's identical to what happens on my own laptop just faster.
It might look it is the same issue, but I rather suspect it just looks similar, if you use as you wrote the ultimate subscription of GeForce Now.
Both hardware setups are significantly different from each other and the game has not been updated in weeks.
Based on what you wrote I do not think the issue lies with you or what you have done. It seems to be a GeForce Now specific thing at the very moment. I just cannot fully confirm it as I cannot use GeForce Now myself due to my bad internet. But considering how it works, there is something at fault.
I recommend you open a new thread in general discussion - to reach a broader audience for your message, and ask bluntly if anyone else has GeForce Now and could test if they are able to play Baldur's Gate 3 right now.
It is kinda hard to imagine that it might be related to the savegames, considering you use pretty much as little as you wrote. But I also then do not know: how does GeForce Now reflect the Larian Launcher? Could you share screenshots or even a video recording?
Either way, I do think at the moment, based on the information, that the issue lies with GeForce Now and not with you.
