Character likes to be the default standing animation in cutscenes.
Its inconsistent but it has happened several times thus far that in the middle of an action moment my character is playing the default standing animation during a cutscene. Just crashed and landed on the beach and it happened while I was falling out of the air, and it happened at the very beginning of the game when the pod first opened.

Yup, same. Did a bunch of the textures in that ship falling scene also not load for you? They were just default flat colours for me, all the rocks and drums and stuff

Same here, no clue why, and its only with my PC, not party members.

It seems to be random if it happens or not. I haven't seen it again since the beach fall scene, and when I reloaded the save and watched the scene again it didn't happen.

Same thing here - falling out of the ship just looked like I was flying through space. I wonder if it's something like, the game not preloading textures fast enough.

Same exact thing happened to me, I was standing up through the pod door while it opened, and standing still while falling out of the ship and landing/waking up on the beach.

I've started playing for the first time, experienced exactly the same here. I assumed it was something to do with the only mod I have installed which adds hairs, but I think it's the game's fault. Reloaded the autosave just before the beach fall scene and there were no visual bugs that time.

The game immediately was like this for me. When you wake up in the pod, my character was standing and half his body was sticking out of it

I had this as well.

The solution that worked for me was to re-install the game on my SSD (I initially had it on my larger secondary HDD due to the ludicrous 100 Gig size). I didn't know this when I first installed it, but BG3 is not intended to be played on HDD's due to assets streaming in real time.

There is a 'slow HDD mode' option in the video settings that might help for those without SSD's, though that puts more strain on the vram. It did not fix this problem for me, though.

Not sure if anyone was mentioned or tried this, but if your playing on an HDD and this happens try clicking the Slow HDD Mode in the graphic options. It worked for me.

I'm playing with mods and this happened to me, I managed to solve it by deactivating the AnimationFramework mod. If you are playing with mods, try disabling that mod.
