Rogue damage scaling
I was expecting rogue sneak attack damage to scale with level as it does in earlier DND redactions. But it remains +1d6 as it was at lvl 1 making it look like a joke compared to other classes. Not only that, offhand attacks do not get any sneak bonus, nor can you do sneack attack with haste potion a second time.

All this makes rogue damage at higher levels pretty weak. For comparrison a mage is able to deal 12d6 damage with scorching ray, warrior can do some special attacks for heavy damage(haven't check yet), warlock can do wizard spells + after applying a hex every attack he does is a bonus 1d6, which is hillariously better then rogue (not only he do not need any conditions for that, it apply to offhand attacks and the bonus attack from haste)

I hope rogues get some love, their damage is supposed to be completely based on sneak attacks and as it is now, it's totaly underwhelming.

It does increase, but instead of rolling an additional die, they decided to just double the damage of the original 1d6 roll. Which is a nerf to rogue as that results in a lower average damage. Two chances to roll a 6 is better than one chance to roll a six and taking the same result again.

Dual Wielding is simply not strong in 5e. A rogue can only get sneak attack once per turn unless he chooses a specific subclass (perhaps from Xanathar's Guide).

Rogue is doing 4d6+12 a round with no cost economy and you feel that is weak?

i'm not saying it's weak on PNP rules, i'm saying it feels weak rn in the game.
Mb i'm just comparing it to 3.5 and pathfinder. Anyway it's just my thoughts and observations.
A 1st lvl spell does the damge of a 4 lvl rogue is not something that seems balanced to me.

Cantrips is pretty tricky thing. They growing based on character level not class level.
One of reasons why many DnD players including me consider warlock not as class but as patch for other classes (Sorcerer/Paladin/Bard).

ye multiclassing is fun although idk how it works in 5e. Pathfinder made pure classes so tasty, that we pretty much stopped multiclassing, in rare cases a 1 lvl dip is the most you should do as it denies you the highest lvl perks and delays class progressions which is critical.

I cant wait to see the full progression for all classes in BG3

Actually it appears to me that dual wielding is doing more damage that it is supposed to do , because it adds DEX to the off-hand too (which is not how it should work: that's only possible with the fighting style available to warriors and rangers). sneak damage should increase to 2d6 at level 3 IIRC, and it procs only 1 per round unlike 3.5 (but is much easier to achive and no creatures are immune to it)

this is not about how it should be, but how it's more fun. IMO it's more fun to have some rewarding ability which is tricky to pull off. RN sneak attack is not a rogue tramp card but a small bonus with little impact on the game.
