Does acid hazard from acid splash cantrip ever clear?

I'm stuck in the ruins. After the undead woke up and attacked, a couple of them used the acid splash cantrip and coated the top of the steps where the party was standing, and eventually a couple of party members died there. I managed to duck into to the nearby chamber with one other character, but the acid is never clearing and we can't reach the downed (now dead) characters stuck in the acid area. Does the acid ever end? Or is there some way to clear it? Seems like a bug since it doesn't seem like a cantrip should be able to make a permanent damaging hazard like this.

Throw water on it. Or if shadowheart survived cast rain on it.
Yeah I don’t think acid or necrosis ever goes away due to time.

You can also turn on the turn clock by pressing space to give them time to jump away after Rez/helping up. If you can go back to before this happened it’ll probably save you some revivify scrolls

Unfortunately, my last save is from way way back before I even entered this area. I was hoping the acid would just go away, but it looks like I'll have to give up and reload from a much earlier save point.

Is the Acid splash (on the ground) actually doing damage? I thought that it just degraded your Armor Class by 2 points.

Idk about acid splash specifically, or after the update, but last time I had time to play Wyll got in a death loop from acid on the floor after combat, so it definitely hurts you.

It does damage. Seems to be about 2 points of damage every few seconds. It's pretty deadly if you can't get past it.

There's a few things. Other cantrips and spells can clear/change what is on the ground. Revivify scrolls let you choose where a character is revived. And if you've found the skeleton guy, he'll be at your camp letting you revive anyone for a fee.
