Why no Alfira bard companion?

Shes relevent for the dark urge storyline. I suggest you play that character to answer your question.

You sort of bring her along if you dont kill her. She will be around on Act 3.
Just not as a companion, but "kinda" in your camp.

ETA: Just respec Wyll to bard. He is way more useful than the boring Warlock class and has much more utility.

She joins your camp and there are no bard companions. It's weird.

i think she was actually intended to be your bard companion, but because they implemented dark urge they thought it would be funny and more fun to just implement her that way.

by "joins" you mean shes just part of dark urge quest right? Because no other origin has her joining. Shes joins as a part of urge plot

Have him be both, War 5/Bard 7 is pretty cool and melees well also. You can still smoke people with blasts also, and buff yourself into an unhittable state. He's a great jack of all trades, and with like 7 fireballs a sleep period and a bunch of bard cc spells into the bargain.

Ill take like 80% of the random npcs over the companions we get. Like Rugen is cooler than any of the male companions even.
