Underdark / Mountain Pass - should I go back?
Hey hey.
Just a quick question - I've finished the 1st act by going through the underdark. I've started the 2nd act, I've already finished the Thaniel quest, but haven't been to the towers yet. I wanted to go check out the mountain pass before finishing the 2nd act - is going back worth it? The journal says that Halsin has left, but I guess it's just a bug cause he's still in my camp and can be recruited. Will I miss much if I skip mountain pass entirely?? Will it block my romance with Lae'zel?
PS- No spoilers please :)

I always do the underdark before I head to the mountain pass. You can technically reach Act 2 from either direction, but there is a lot of xp, and gear to be gained by doing the underdark, then heading to the mountain pass. You can do both completely before heading to Act 2. I've done this twice now, and no it won't block the romance you speak of. I was still able to continue it doing underdark, then going back, and doing the mountain pass.

Mountain Pass is specifically important for Lae'zel.

There is at least 1 level worth of XP in the Mountain Pass.

i hated navigating everything the ruins of whatever that giant building is, i ran around doing so much jumping and running everywhere to somehow find the entrance , if i was asked to do it again i forgot the path i took . good gear and exp , i would try to do it again but maybe with a guide

I've gone back and forth between act 1 and 2 and had no quests end prematurely, that I know of. Just make sure you resolve the Grove situation and if you go to Grymforge, resolve the Nere situation before leaving / doing a long rest.

So I've went back, and it was really worth it (and quite short tbh) - thanks guys! It's weird that such a big plot part can be easily skipped

That is what you get with freedom of choice. I think it is rather amazing that you would be able to experience so many different versions of the game by doing this or that in different ways and even skipping stuff like that.

You have one long rest to solve the Nere situations once you land in Grymforge, which tends to be needed after dealing with all the stuff there.

Im really bad about checking quest i kinda just start clearing chunks of the map until a companion needs some attention , only reason i went to the mountain pass cause lae zel hardcore really wanted to go
