Dragonborn: Class by Subrace Ideas?

I know that we're still quite a ways off from having these options in the game, but I'm bored. So, I decided to start thinking about some ideas of what class options would be the most appropriate with different sub-races for Dragonborn.


Barbarian - White: Among he chromatic dragons, White dragons are considered to be the most savage and least intelligent of the lot. Thus, it seems appropriate that a Dragonborn with connection to this color might follow the life of a barbarian. Plus, it's also thematically appropriate for that 'warrior of the frozen north' aesthetic.

Necromancer - Black: these types of dragons like to live in disease ridden swamps, and prefer to wait for their meals to putrefy before consuming them. A black Dragonborn pursuing the arts of death magic seems like a fitting role for them.

Bard - Copper: So apparently, Copper dragons love to collect and trade stories. In fact, they love to talk so much, that it's difficult getting them to stop. If someone wanted to make a Dragonborn bard, I feel like Copper would be the most appropriate choice to go with.

Paladin - Gold, or Silver: among the metallic dragons, Gold and Silver are considered to be the most pure and righteous of the lot. Those wishing to take on the role of holy knights would probably fit best as one of these metals, with Gold having an affinity to fire, and Silver having an affinity for ice.

Rogue - Green: Among the chromatic dragons, it is the Greens who are considered to be the most ego centric and vain. Thus, a class who lies, cheats and steals their way to the top would be fitting. Also, their unique affinity for poison would compliment their proclivity for sneak attacking.

All Dragonborn are often of a mixed heritage, including metallic and gem. Colour of their scales is in no way an indicator of what kind of powers they can develop. In fact they may awaken abilities of several draconic types, while some may never get their breath atack.
