You didn't quietly assassinate them. Fighting is loud.
There are plenty of ways not to go in loud and crazy.
The assassinate 3 leaders quest is geared toward the stealthy approach.
You can isolate the priestess by sending her to back room. Kill her in 1 turn.
You can literally kick the hobgoblin down a chasm and 1hko him, but it's wise to have Shadowheart or anyone who has "Command" to make him drop his magic weapon first so you can get it.
That's 2/3 right there. The Drow is harder because there's that floating eye, but you can damage the bridge among other things to get her fast.
in another run i've managed to kill silently most of the goblins then i opened the cage of giant spiders and had them to help with the boss.
there are many ways to do everything in the game
there's at least 25 or 30 goblins in the area
why?
the drow has the same kind of room as dror
yet enemies from other rooms don't aggro there if you kill the orb
yet in dror's room every adjacent room aggro's on you
it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid from a game balance perspective
theres no way to quietly kill dror and all 8 other enemies
so why make it so punishing to actually fight in the room
and then kill all goblins. the tadpole commands it.
kicking the hobgoblin into a hole right in front of 4 enemies
And traditional Goblins are not very friendly, as you might have discovered. You may also have noticed that there is a lot of them.
Personally I released the spiders and used Lump's War Horn when things went down. Now that was fun.
Quite volatile.
Putting explosive barrels around, and killing all in the room and severly harming red guy - enemies outside the combat area in the church don't care about the fight.
The moment red guy dies, everyone gets a sudden notice that something is off. So neither "fighting is loud" nor "drums" are the obvious issue.
it's insanely hard without cheese
they design the bosses in such a way that most players just push them in a hole
that is just a badly designed boss if thats the way you're meant to do it
razglin attacks 3 times a turn
does 8 to 20 damage an attack
and buffs everyone around him
there is no cope on this entire planet that can tell me thats a well designed boss
Even though no one can know how it happend, even if your character is disguised, it pulls aggro when he dies.
I need to look up wether there is a) a possibility to build a explosive trap and lure him on it or b) hiding the shooter in some kind of smoke to circumvent vision after shooting helps.
But honestly, until I see a clip of someone killing him and then walking through the church unhindered I will just believe there is just a bogus trigger.
the boss design in this game is legitimately terrible
goblins breed like vermin
fortunately they are as easy to kill
the fact there's a huge goblin army is broadcast to you on all channels after finding the druid grove.
