Her voice acting was top-notch and so were her lines. So ye, pretty happy,
Because the whole "her race is ultimately a soul-snack to maintain her pseudo-divinity and their society is built on false premises" feels more like a Larian re-tread of their previous plots than what they actually are, because you'd think that after many a century the githyanki'd notice that something is wrong...
That's in-lore as well. IIRC, she tries to eat all Githyanki level 18 and above.
So Vlaakith is really a villain :O
She's a semi godlike being with vast psionic powers.
Changing her appearance in astral projections to be less undead is childs play.
It worked for me at least.
I know virtually ♥♥♥♥ all about Vlaakith, aside from the fact she's a lich and the god-queen of the Githyanki people.
So in that respect, I have no frame of reference to judge her portrayal by one way or the other.
Gods need the help of mortals, because Ao implemented a new rule that forbids them from directly interfering with mortals. Apparently, every time they do so, they tend to have a habit of making the situation worse than it already was.
So now they're forced to use mortals as proxies for carrying out their plans on the material plane.
it makes no sense
Uhhh, yes you can?
You probably didn't check thoroughly enough. But Vlaakith is an option that's reserved exclusively for Githyanki clerics.
She won't appear as an option for anyone else.
Might have been a bug earlier that got hotfixed then, i specifically searched for this on release and couldn't find it.
They still left out shar tho, which i recall being an option for clerics at some point durning EA
