holder of blood of Lathander should be immue to shadown land curse.
i feel like the person hold the blood of lathander should get immunity to deep shadows land curse. i mean it literally holds the blood of a SUN god, it's magical effect should be equal to the sharan curse on the land if not greater.

and in terms of that breaking the game, realiitly it wouldn't effect the game that much. i mean i got to moon rise tower by dashing lol.

I agree. When I found it, I was hopeful it would do just that. No dice.

I found if you equip a torch and then go down and toggle light source you will be able to use to mace as a light source

The rest of your party still needs the immunity.

If Shadowheart can get a freebie, then so should whoever holds the mythical mace of the Sun.

I'm still at the very beginning of act 2, but the mace does give the wielder immunity to at least the early area darkness curse thanks to the light it generate. It protects other nearby party members too. There's talk of an even darker curse and I've not found that yet.
That would not make sense. At all.
Sure, the "daylight" whatever source it has, will protect like a torch.
But the shadow curse is not "inhabiting the shadows", it IS the shadows. When it is weak, you are not "removing the curse", so much as you are using a counter power to avoid its effects.
Lathander is not the power that removes the curse. Selune is. And that is what Isorbel does.
Dont know if you know, but the Shadow curse is the power of Shar.

umm.... you would think this would be the case... BUT IMHO... it was actually well thought out.

IRL... The more light you have the stronger/harder shadows you create... Multiple light sources doesn't remove this effect either. Rather creates multiple shadows depending from where the light sources are located.

removing shadows isn't about how strong your light is or that you have multiple light sources... rather that you take an extremely strong light source (one mind you) and you 'diffuse' the light.

Much like the Sun and mildly thick cloud cover. The clouds DIFFUSE the light. To the point that Shadows become very very faint and/or sometimes almost gone.

Photographers love it. For certain types of photography mind you. Dynamic range handled.

Like I said. IMHO... It was actually well thought out that it's not the Sun but the Moon that helps to protect from the Shadow Curse.

The mace is more or less equal to a torch in terms of avoiding the weaker effects of the curse
And its not Selune's power that keeps you safe from the deeper shadow curse, only the lesser effects so you don't need a torch, its the magic of a damn fairy who's entire species is favored by Mystra herself.
