DnD ruleset is killing this game

No offense but what is working on paper isn't working in a Digital RPG game. Random dice rolls my a$$. Random chances of being spotted or interactrioned my a$$. I d deliberately tested it and usually every situation goes along the way the devs wanted it to go. And if your dice roll says you need to roll at least 15, you will end up with 2-3s and if it says you need 5 for succession, you end up rolling 10-13-17s.

I pretty much call bullsh*t on these so called DnD mechanics and if you are not save scumming good luck with getting forward in this game. And no wonder as i found there are a tons of articles saying it is okay to save scum. No it is not okay but as soon it gets normal you know your game is bad.

Just wanna ask but did you disable "Karmic Dice" in the Gameplay Options(I think its under gameplay) ? That might give you some good results but it will also give you some really bad results.

It was enabled by default for me.

You don't need to pass every check in order to move forward in the game, and you're wrong about dice rolls. I roll very high most of the time and pass 80-90% of the checks. No reason to save scum at all.

Anyways, definitely a git gud topic if I ever seen one.

It's an offline single player game. Whether your will is strong enough to push through an unexpected bad outcome is for you to decide (and maybe discover a new story).

Also, nothing is killing this game, it's breaking records in the genre.

BG1 &2 had major issues and major backlashes when they came out. You maybe don'"t remember but i remember because i'm old as f**k.
They are genre defyning games because nothing else was around at the time not because they are flawless.

So your argument for game is bad is articles written by people more mature than you? They are saying save scumming is ok because they know there are gamers who play games and just want the story or find the game too difficult for themselves or want to experience everything they can due to limited gaming life. While I do not save scum I accept that others do because I am not a gatekeeping arse. I want this game enjoyed by all regardless of their skill or intentions.

Dunno where you got this statement from but no. It is not even close to that. I made MY points. I only delivered some examples. If you can 't handle it sorry but i can't provide you with any comfort.
