Strong women are overrepresented
I mean, come on, could it have hurt devs to make Aelyn a male aasimar? Would it have changed anything for the story? No, but gotta have a strong giant female fighter main npc and a horny lesbian reunion.

Karlach? No reason she couldn't have been a male barbarian story wise as well. But you gotta have a horny (literally) strong giant female fighter for yourself as well.

And why play a fighter yourself when Bae'Zel is there to cover your weak ass on that front and she's superior at it as she keeps banging it into your head.

The only strong male of note is Halsin, but he's not even a fighter and is there to satisfy your furry bestiality fetishes.

My cringe level with leftist agenda in this game is reaching its peak already and I haven't even reached Baldur's Gate yet.

Something can't be lost on me if it is incorrect to begin with.

Ok.

I don't know why you people enter discussions if you're not willing to discuss, and instead just shout obscenities, tell everyone their opinions are wrong, and call people misogynists.

I promise you no one is impressed by your bravery and valor except for other blue haired basement dwelling keyboard warriors who post the same nonsense that you do.
funny you post this after dodging the question I asked before.

I have.
You have not.

What a surprise

just say you hate women and move on :ujel:
While I honestly love all the characters on some level I have to agree.

All the male companions are basically mages or rogue types. Meanwhile most female companions are melee focused.

It's a game so I can get passed the fact that men make better Frontline fighters than women ever could. However it is abit weird that not one female other than jaihera is a caster and only minsc and halsin are the only 2 males who can be the Frontline.

Either way it doesn't matter too much to me as I adore karlach and shadowheart, hate leazel though lol. However I can see why op has issues. In RL I'd be on his side, but bg3 has magic so women fighters are more acceptable.

But they're cool, so OP must be objectively uncool.

your ilk are ALWAYS cowards who block and run from an argument they can't win so it's not surprising.
i think mostly the companions should be tougher. they are the leaders and fighters in one form or another. there is still passion in what they care about.

the bard is pretty in touch with and expresses her emotions which translates to beautiful and emotionally charged music.

It's cool though, really. After posting on these forums for a while I've realized I'm only taking to myself & a few other actual functioning humans, because all the angry NPC bots block me for wrongthink.

I'm excited to see which post I get banned for this time, when he logs onto 20 alt accounts and reports me. The last one I got banned for was asking a guy who supported "No Child Left Behind" act if he was one of the kids who would have been otherwise failed if not for the program. The obscenity and scandal of it must have shocked Steam mods to their very core.

I just can't take discussions on this board seriously. Constructive criticism is not allowed, says the guy who apparently served.
Shadowheart when meets karlach.:
She can probably carry me out of danger if the need arises :p

He has a point tho, When you decide to free Nightsong those epic scenes come up and the fights are really cool afterwards just for the whole thing to become awkward in the camp when you want to talk to her and she sends you away sayiing more or less she needs to have sex with her girlfriend now. It was just so forced and unnecessary for this situation.

Also in Baldurs Gate when you start seeing women with beards and men in these drag queen stuff.

It's just like IRL you bigot! Don't you know that at time of crisis everybody just gets as flamboyant as they can and wanders the streets to really stand out?

This whole representation thing wouldn't bother anyone if it was appropriate to the situations it is depicted in. Announcement of immediate consummation of lesbian sex (any kind of sex in fact, but because it's lesbian it's 'important') just after removing a tyrant is where the devs think themselves on the right side of history whereas in fact they are on the wrong side of cringe, given the situation...

I want (old) bioware writing back. I genuinely understood and cared about all the characters in ME1 and 2. Male, female, queer, alien and all. BG3 'in-your-face' equality writing is not doing the story any favors, it's presented in a disjointed manner as it is.

Also: Karlach and Halsin are the only characters I can totally get behind - the rest suffer from various levels of incompetent writing that makes or presents them to be ...cringe...

So block them too, not like you are gonna have a normal discussion with these types.

That being said, I do agree that this is a fantasy world where a guy who is the same height as my 3 year old kid can be a melee fighter.
I also agree with people saying that they've gone whild with these strong woman types, in several cases the implementation is so bad it borders on comical like with the lesbian diva who ends up being comically creepy.
Someone already said it, these strong female characters are written by people who figure all they have to do is change the gender of the generic strong heroic man and that's it. It's not it. Bad writing is bad writing.
And I don't see why you should get banned for stating a perfectly civilized opinion concerning the writing of female characters.
Jaheira isn't strong she's just an absolute karen.

They could have added a blonde, buxom, high-elf princess skilled in magic that has a low strength score. I would have been cool with that.

Perfect and agreed. My 3 figthers are women, not that i dont like it but does not fit as an usual thing. And the lesbian couple, c'mon. This is not normal and usual. Stop with this. I dont care if npcs wanna fu..k you everytime, at least you can choose (yet). If you wanna trail this path fine, but for other npcs, keep the main natural things of nature.

You forgot to mention the little ones working for Nere boss. Pay attention to their talking.

You're not after a discussion.

You're after an echo chamber filled with like-minded individuals, just like the majority of threads following this pattern (which became absolutely obvious with how you argued in favor of men going to war over women, and again here. We get it, you're anti-woke and likely anti-lgbtq, that's called bigotry).

You'll only resonate with those who share your exact opinion.

That kind of thing objectifies women and is harmful to everyone, don't you know? Can't have that.

All the voiced women in this game absolutely have to behave like dumb men and try to get by on brawn alone - like Jaheira choosing to 'test' you in a confrontation, as opposed to playing it like the spymaster she should be - literally similar to what she does next with the drugged wine.

There's good ideas in this game with 'strong independent wahmen' ideology on top that makes everything go cringeville.

For those who don't try to appease this druid skunk hag when confronted, because they don't recognize her from previous titles, she's more than likely ending up dead for her stupid idea of just confronting a group who wiped out entire enemy camps before... in an unstable environment barely held together by one person...

They made Jaheira stupid so she can show the boys how it's done...
