oh yay, you found a loophole to exploit.
here's another thing: BG2 just writes your gold in the ram, you can just set it to 16 bits of 1 and have more gold than you can ever spend, therefore BG2 also has a gold problem, right?
For people who play games normally and don't abuse the hell out of mechanics that no DM would let you get away with, gold was perfectly fine in BG2
Only by using some exploits.
money sinks would be a good idea though, purely narrative stuff like running a thieve's guild or an inn or something.
I play on tactician as well but I barely have any need for any consumables so they just get sold.
Love the game to death but there's serious flaws in the management of economy and inventory.
no i have played since the early 90s ;) Im just used to having to manage what to do with my money in games ;)
