Well obviously if you ask it here everyone is going to say BG3, if you ask in POE discussions everyone will say otherwise.

For me the choice is obvious... take bg3

My guy, is PoE2 not expected to go F2P in like 2 months based on their original timeline? I'm sure that date'll slip but still why pay for something that is going to monetized to hell and back anyway?

IMO. Baldur's gate 3 is more fun. I have both. And POE2 will go F2P on full release so if you can wait just wait.

If you prefer ARPGs I'd go with POE2. I like both Tactics games and ARPGs but I tend to enjoy Tactics games more so my bias does lean towards BG3 especially considering its one of if not the best Tactics game out there.

BG3, It is a complete game and PoE:2 is a "Early access" and it will become F2P once it goes off of EA so there is no reason to buy it if you aren't just wanting to play PoE but slightly different.

They are two VERY different types of games. You can't really compare. POE is basically a looter, this game is a narrative driven RPG.
I tried to like poe2 but refunded. I've countless replays on bg3. I would pick bg3
Poe2 is free if you wait. Also two completely different games and play styles
Not POE2, i refunded it. Awful.
Take BG3

Yes.

You like hack and slash, super optimized end game build making? POE2

You want a solid RPG with a good story, and pretty well done turn-based combat? BG3

Both games are fun, just in different ways. I'd go for BG3 only because POE2 is going to be free to play in a year or so.
If you like RPGs with Turn-Based Tactics and a rich story, go for BG3. If you prefer ARPGs and just want action over reflexion, go for POE2.

Really different kinds of games, so in the end it's just a matter of personal tastes.

they re not comparible (besides being both great games), but poe is getting free2play on release, so the most efficient way of spending your money is get bg3 and wait for poe release

I'm playing PoE2 atm, enjoying it, but still I recommend BG3, I played it for 872hours, not including EA which I played for probably ~200 hours at the very very least, so yeah, BG3 replayability is high, it will be more than enough for a very long time.

Anyway, your choice depends on your preferences, action vs turn based game with well written stories\characters.

Well as PoE2 is Early Access and got lots of negative reviews there isnt any decision to make. This is one of the best games you can buy.
Unless you really need an ARPG fix, BG3. I like POE2, but it's rough right now (maybe forever if this is the planned way). I'm stalling out on bosses not because I can't beat them, I just don't really want to do another 10 minute battle to get past them. Or 9 minutes of battle, make a mistake, die, and another try at 10 min battle.
If you don't have a OP build, all boss fights are more of the chip way types. It's bad when say you take two big hits, you just quit the fight. Because you don't want to fight 9 minutes of that 10 minute fight only to run out of health flasks, which you might do because of those early mistakes.
