Are there still no way to enable achievements with mods post Patch 7?
Literally all I'm using are UI mods to make them a bit nicer to look at and nicer to navigate and WASD movement mod and achievements are stiffing me post Patch 7. Take it there are still no ways to enable them even when the built in mod manager? Sucks to totally block achievements for QoL and UI mods that don't really mess with progression or let you cheat.

I believe there is a mod on Nexus that uses the Script Extender to re-enable the achievements.

I'd say making it that mods actually block achievements in a single-player game is asinine in the first place. Just let me mod in peace. Like, I wanted to install a mod for bigger dwarven beards, but in order to keep achievements I have to install an additional one to re-enable them.

Should never be allowed to cheat achievements.

Now read the thread before I tell you SAM exists.

enabling achievments with mods is cheating no matter how you try to bend it.

If I was able to bend logic, there'd be a world where you got a passing grade in English.

Disagree.

All you need is script extender. That's it. It can re-enable achievements with mods.

I know this, even though I can't use it, and don't care about achievements. :steamhappy:

BTW, if it's a mod that uses a DLL file, like NativeCameraTweaks, or requires being installed in a folder without use of a mod manager (internal or external) like face swaps, etc., it doesn't affect achievements.

While correct, there is no feasible way for them to know whether you downloaded a UI mod of a 1-shot-everything mod; without the ability to be selective about such things, it can only be all of nothing.

Listen I'm not going to tell anyone not to mod their game to enable achievements. But Moonbane is right, it's cheating.

Achievements only mean something if you're getting them under the same conditions as everyone else.

If you're modding the game you're changing the rules. If a football player walked out onto the field wearing something other than their approved uniform they'd be penalized or told they couldn't play until they changed.

Same applies here. You wanna play street ball and show up in a banana hammock.... you do you. But if you're looking to participate in any sort of competitive activity / challenge, you gotta play by the same rules as everyone else. That means no mods, cosmetic or otherwise.

If you aren't comfortable with people calling what that cheating...... because it is..... then don't do it. Otherwise own it and do it anyway. Just don't intentionally or unintentionally gaslight people about it. There's already enough of that in the world to push people into writing manifestos. We really don't need any more if it.

This is an offline single (or coop) game. There are no leaderboards, no "competitive" and certainly no PvP. Since modding is now literally part of the game (you can mod the game from within it, no need for third parties, Larian gives you the tools) then modding is ABSOLUTELY NOT cheating. You can quite literally download someone's 100% save and get all achievements right away if you want. Stop trying to play the social justice warrior. A mod adding an extra hairstyle shouldn't be blocking achievements. Period. It may pain you, but nobody cares.

I just give myself all the achievements before I start playing, so I don't have to be arsed with the spoiler achievement announcements.

You can also reset one or all of them, if that's your thing.
